Tempura-ture
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
Made for the Godot Community Game Jam 2018.
theme: temperature
Note: Ran out of time for a tutorial -> If you get stuck, check out the playthrough video. Thanks for playing/rating!
About:
Reeeally didn't want this theme, so I decided to be edgy and subversive (lolxd). You play a tempura-loving loose-cannon equipped with a multipurpose Tempura Batter Ray. Use it to solve puzzles and collect four delicious Shrimp Tempura. Bon appetit!
Pre-postmortem (6/18):
2 of the 3 days of my jam were interrupted by (real) work, but I'm proud of what I accomplished in such a short time. Plus I learned a ton from the experience. Including the importance of a good tutorial. I have a ton more ideas for the game, some that I already built or I'm in the process of building, so I expect to keep updating the game here and on GitHub.
Disclaimer:
Do not learn from this project. It was hastily made and barely holds together. With that in mind, the source code will be available if you want to check it out :)

I couldn't figure out how to proceed through the game but I did figure out how to use the tempura cannon to create a staircase up to the second level. I tried to esape through the window but no luck!
You have to connect the two police-light looking objects with a strand of tempura. I plan on posting a spoiler/instruction video soon because a lot of people are getting stuck there :/ Thanks for playing!
Edit: Just added a video to the page if you're still interested.
I don't even know how to get the first door open. Nothing aside from me seems to care much for tempura.
If you connect the two light-looking things in front of the door with a strand of tempura blobs, the door should open. I wanted to put in a small tutorial (it was through that portal you spawn near), but ran out of time. Thanks for playing!
Thank you! The game so far is quite interesting.
the html5 version is glitching hardcore, sorry everyone! looks like it's DL only
